After Sales Support Representative

DESCRIPTION:

We are currently looking for an After Sales Support Representative to join the Nixon Customer Service team.

The After Sales Support Representative plays a pivotal role in enhancing the Nixon customer experience with excellent warranty support and repair service knowledge. Daily duties include communicating service order status updates to internal and external customers, resolving exceptions with a sense of urgency, and efficiently processing high volumes of service orders.

Candidates for this position must have exceptional customer service standards, a preferred warranty repair background, strong problem solving skills and the aptitude to maintain a professional dialogue at all times. The ability to prioritize and organize tasks is fundamental. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must. Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word) is required. A BS/BA degree is preferred, but not required.

Nixon’s general hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8-5. Extra hours may be necessary at times. This position is located at our Service Center in Carlsbad.

Product Designer - AC/SG

DESCRIPTION:

Reporting to the Director of Product and Design, the full-time Product Designer of Accessories & Soft Goods will create unique, globally relevant, market leading designs that are in alignment with Nixon’s goals and core values.

The Product Designer will be responsible for the execution and communication of key deliverables as related to the process of designing bags, key chains, headwear, belts, jewelry, softgoods & misc. other products. Where some designs are contracted out, the Product Designer will coordinate with external resources to ensure consistency and quality of deliverable. Deliverables will include but not be limited to market research, trend research, competitive analysis, concept presentation boards, inspiration boards, reference sample products and materials, hand sketches, color palates, 2 & 3-D computer sketches & renderings, technical specifications & measurements, & implementation of trim packages.

The Product Designer is expected to work closely and collaboratively with the product, marketing, & sales departments, as well as the Nixon Team to present and collect ideas, incorporating crucial feedback in to the design process and resulting product.

A successful candidate will be a self-motivated, deadline driven, organized communicator with 3-6 yrs. of proven product design experience and a Bachelor’s degree in design or related field. A strong sense of style, good design, material, and market vocabulary, working knowledge of design and office applications including but not limited to Illustrator, Photoshop, Word, Excel & ability to hand sketch are required. Must have the ability to travel, work on tight deadlines & long hours. 3-D rendering ability a plus. Retail, Fashion and/or Action sports industry experience preferred.

Senior Designer

DESCRIPTION:

Reporting to the Art Director, this position will be responsible for creating award winning concept driven design for Nixon under the Art Director's creative guidance. The Senior Designer must be highly organized and able to work efficiently on multiple projects in a tight deadline orientated environment. A thorough understanding of graphic design, acute sensitivity to typography, strong understanding of contemporary design trends, ability to forecast design trends 1-2 years in advance relative to Nixon's market, Packaging experience, and the follow-through on Nixon's brand ID standards are paramount to success in this position. Work within specifications set forward by the Art Director to create design that is relevant to the Nixon brand. Follow through diligently with details of all projects from concept to completion - making rounds of corrections, changes as necessary and releasing final artwork. Adhere to timelines and brand guidelines in order to maintain the integrity of the Nixon "look and feel". You will need to implement quick revisions to match the Art Director's requests. Mastery in OSX and Adobe Creative Suite. Experience in advanced printing techniques, paper stock, and web design are extremely important. Must be organized with a keen eye for detail, have excellent communication skills and a passion for problem solving.

Experience:

BA or Associates degree in graphic design or related field. Minimum 4 years studio experience.

Merchandising Manager, Women's AC/SG

DESCRIPTION:

  • As Merchandising Manager, Women’s AC/SG, you will work under the supervision of the Category Manager to outline the optimum product mix using sales data, market trends, brand direction, and intuition while adhering to brand guidelines throughout all aspects of the development process.
  • You will establish, maintain, and communicate schedules for design and development of your categories based on Master Schedule set by DPD
  • You will work with internal and external design resources to ensure timely and consistent execution of design, as well as add to the design process yourself
  • You will ensure timely delivery of spec packs to vendors for both product and trim by managing design resources and contributing yourself
  • Work directly with factory agents, technicians, pattern makers and sample makers to ensure best possible product execution and quality in every aspect
  • Oversee all pattern development, trim package development, material/color development, fit/wear testing, size grading, etc. throughout the development cycle
  • You will ensure timely delivery of Protos, Photo Samples and Sales Samples
  • You will be responsible for Initiating, negotiating, and confirming final costing with all vendors
  • You will set competitive market pricing while adhering to category standard margin requirements
  • You will work with the Production Planner and Line Manager to ensure all product information is accurate and current in the system
  • You will coordinate and ensure the timely delivery & accuracy of product copy for all communication materials
  • You will be responsible for sequencing & presentation of the line, sample colors, hero images & collection stories in (not limited to): Internal Meetings, Team Reviews, Sales Meetings, Key Reps & Retailers, Catalogs & Printed Materials

On-line Sales and E-Commerce Manager

DESCRIPTION:

Reporting to the Director of Global Sales, this position will be responsible for all aspects of on-line wholesale and retail sales. This person will manage the process for effectively maximizing our authorized on-line retailers. This person will actively manage the daily and seasonal retail duties of nixonnow.com.

The on-line manager is expected to work closely with the on-line marketing manager and the technical support team while managing external vendor relationships. This person will be expected to train and develop the sales team on proper on-line account management. This person will be responsible for forecasting, placing purchase orders, and management of nixonnow.com. The on-line manager will assist in the management of our global on-line sales strategy.

Qualified candidates must 5+ years of successful retail management within a growing and profitable consumer goods retail site. A general technical understanding of content management systems, database, servers, hosting, payment gateway, payment processor, networks and traffic source is a plus. This person must be able to analyze and interpret traffic and sales data and effectively communicate this data. Candidate must have strong interpersonal skills.
