ANDY IRONS (US)

Andy Irons (1978-2010), the older half of the Irons duo was well on his way to surfing immortality. Andy was a three-time world champion and has won WCT contests all over the world and was a threat in anything from 25' Waimea Bay to 2' dribble in Huntington Beach. Born and raised on Kauai and the leader of the amazing talent pool from Hawaii, Andy was Kelly Slater's sparring partner for the past several years and has more than held his own. With god given talent coming out of his ears, Andy was on top this season, especially since he had a victory at the Billabong Pro in Tahiti.

Our deepest condolences go out to his family and friends. Andy will never be forgotten.
