Hailing from Lahaina, HI, and currently climbing the ranks of the World Qualifying Series (WQS), Payne is the youngest member of Nixon’s Surf Team and was the first rider added to the team in over two years. In addition to his many recent accomplishments, including runner up at the 2008 Triple Crown of Surfing, winning the Kustom Air Challenge and the Oakley Junior Pro, Payne has been an integral part of the Nixon family. He has a full bag of tricks and is part of the new generation pushing surfing today.
With his surfing career just starting up Dusty has hand full of magazine covers that have top level pros second guess themselves all over the map. Currently Payne is on track to make a push for the 2010 WCT and has been diligently filming for Taylor Steele’s new film, Modern Collective.
