Romain has been pushing the limits of modern snowboarding. Certainly the most respected and aggressive European rider around, he goes big on his snowboard pushing freestyle beyond its barriers. He once appeared on seven international snowboard magazine covers for his photo of when he cleared Chad's Gap (where he has completed a backside 540, switch backside 540, cab 720, a backside rodeo 720, as well as a backside 180 no grab in the snowboarding video "Pop" from Absinthe). De Marchi, a visionary, just recently started his own brand called YES. De Marchi regularly rides with Travis Rice and Trevor Andrew, and is inspired by Jeremy Jones and the style of Gigi Ruf.
